The Business Analyst position is part of the Client Strategy & Insights (CSI) team and broader Sales Strategy team. As a Business Analyst, you support Indeed’s highest potential revenue Enterprise accounts by creating bespoke data solutions and aiding in analytical requests that best generate positive sales engagements, client satisfaction, and revenue growth.

Business Analysts work closely with CSI Senior Analytical Leads, scoping out the design and technical requirements for a given analytical solution, communicating achievable timelines and check-ins to ensure timely delivery, and executing on the creation / maintenance for the proposed solution. Business Analysts are unafraid to roll up their sleeves to take raw data and flip it into something equal parts visionary, visceral, and valuable.

In addition to superior business and technical acumen, Business Analysts are challenged to aid accounts on creating unique, data-driven narratives that provide recommendations for performance improvement and help Indeed achieve their revenue goals. When narratives prove successful and impactful, Business Analysts are expected to create automated, scalable versions of said narratives to ensure both CSI and Sales can replicate the successes quickly and efficiently. Business Analysts should be collaborative, innovative, curious, and open to dynamic, evolving work.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with CSI Senior Analytical Leads on automation of recurring reporting / common analyses, and building customizable data solutions to help enhance Indeed data to best align to client analytical requirements (using Python, SQL, and Tableau)
  • Create self-serve tools for CSI and Sales/CS partners that aid client conversations
  • Understand your business stakeholders’ objectives, the metrics that are the most important to them, and how they measure their performance
  • Turning business requirements into technical requirements
  • Finding and understanding the correct data sources for a given analysis
  • Maintain analytical solutions and update methodologies as needed
  • Aid in executing analytical requests for clients, preparing reports and/or presentations as needed, and in deriving insights to guide client’s investments across multiple products and locations, solving for clients goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with Client Strategy & Insights Reporting Team on creating solutions for their usage in aiding Top Account requests
Incubate new methodologies/techniques/metrics to answer client-driven analytical questions at scale

Who You Are

    • 4+ Years of SQL. Must have the ability to write complex, highly-optimized queries across large volumes of data
    • 3+ years of solid Python programming skills to cleanse, manipulate, and present data, particularly using Pandas and Numpy
    • Knowledge of ETL and data warehouse concepts and processes
    • Ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences
    • Ability to take vague requests and convert them into insightful analysis under time constrained scenarios
    • Ability to tell stories via creation of narratives in PPT or google slides with minimal guidance
    • Ability to play consultant and understand the sales or client ask and converting it to a data drive story
    • Curiosity and passion about data, visualization and solving problems
    • Creativity to determine the best solution for a real-world problem with quantitative data
    • Experience with reporting, descriptive statistics, probability, return on investment analysis, and cleaning big datasets
    • Willingness to question the validity, accuracy of data and assumptions - and make recommendations to internal leadership that improve our ability to make decisions
    • Enjoyment from collaborating with others in team environment
    • Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
    • B.S. degree in math, statistics, computer science, or equivalent technical field

    Desired but not required
    • Experience with search performance analytics and brand measurement analysis (funnels)
    • Experience with Tableau or equivalency to create impactful reports, visualizations, and interactive dashboards
    • Familiarity with online marketplace dynamics
    • Familiarity with Salesforce
    • Understanding of the HR technology space

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

India 960,000 - 1,440,000 INR per year
